Terms and Conditions for the 2024 Cap City Showdown Presented By Josh Dennis Insurance Inc. 1.) Registration Fees New Teams: - The registration fee for new teams is $600, payable in two increments of $300 each. - The first installment of $300 is due by August 1st, 2024. - The second installment of $300 is due by September 15th, 2024. - $100.00 of the registration fee per team is non-refundable. Returning Teams: - Due to the cancellation in 2023, the registration fee for returning teams is $500, payable in two increments of $250 each. - The first installment of $250 is due by August 1st, 2024. - The second installment of $250 is due by September 15th, 2024. - $100.00 of the registration fee per team is non-refundable. *Refund Policy for the 2024 Cap City Showdown** In the event that the 2024 Cap City Showdown, presented by Josh Dennis Insurance, is cancelled for any reason, please note the following refund policy: A non-refundable amount of $100 from each team’s registration fee will be retained. The remaining balance of the registration fee will be refunded to the team. This policy ensures that a portion of the registration fee covers administrative and organizational costs incurred prior to the event. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting a successful tournament. 2.) Compliance with Rules and Regulations I agree that my team will abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the tournament committee. I attest that my team is physically fit for the tournament to the best of my knowledge. Any major disciplinary actions may result in the immediate removal of my team from the tournament without a refund. Any use of remarks based on race, religion, gender, or ability that are deemed inappropriate or discriminatory will result in further disciplinary actions. 3.) Core Principles of Sport I agree to uphold and ensure that my team upholds the Core Principles of Sport: Fairness: Operating within the spirit of the rules, making informed and honorable decisions, and never seeking unfair advantage. Respect: Treating others with dignity, considering their contributions to sport, and caring for their property and equipment. Responsibility: Taking accountability for our actions, being positive role models, and upholding ethical conduct. Safety: Encouraging and practicing safe procedures, reporting dangerous behavior, and showing concern for the well-being of others. 4.) Returning teams from the 2023 tournament have 48 hours from the opening of registration to secure their spot. Returning teams will be automatically entered into the event during this period. Following the initial 48-hour period, any remaining tournament entry spots will be filled from the new team registration list in numerical order based on the time stamp of registration. All teams are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible to maximize their chances of being selected for the tournament. Team captains are responsible for registering their teams and providing accurate and valid information, which will be used for all tournament-related communications. Once the first 36 teams have been selected, a wait list will be established for any additional teams registering thereafter. Failure to make payments on time will result in the removal of the team from the tournament list and their placement on the wait list in chronological order of registration. 5.) Waiver and Release of Liability I hereby waive and release Cap City Softball, its agents, representatives, coaches, officials, directors, and sponsors from any claims or actions arising from injuries sustained by my team during tournament activities. 6.)
